Well, I'm happily home from my final show selling my hand dyed yarns and fibres. I can't think of a better place than Fibres West to send off Everything Old in style. The vendors are smashing (and deliciously hard on the pocketbook), the shoppers are super sweet, and the organizers are kind and dedicated. It didn't hurt that the weather was gorgeous for ferry travel, either.
My little booth looked great, in spite of the fact that I forgot most of my shelving at home.
And even though the hotel was full of ladies getting their (very noisy) Friday night drank on, and lacked an inspiring view...
And despite the fact that I am deeply regretting not buying this ridiculous bolster at IKEA...
I had an absolutely fantastic time seeing all of you again, visiting with your adorable kids, enabling your yarn habits, and catching up with all your amazing crafting. I am quite serious when I say that you folks are what makes this business wonderful, and that your creativity and kindness will continue to inspire me, even though the shop will be closing.
Also, you helped me clear out enough stuff that I was able to fit all of this in the car on the way home:
for which I am very grateful. See mom, I knew it would all fit.
