I finished a pair of socks! Not just plain vanilla socks, either - these are the Pippin Socks by Claire Ellen. I was given the pattern for my birthday, and cast on as soon as I had needles free.

I love these socks. I'm wearing them right now, for the second day in a row (shut up, they're plenty clean).

The yarn is Fleece Artist Kidazzle, a blend of merino wool, nylon, and mohair. I absolutely loved this as a sock yarn. It's almost a sport weight but the yardage is great, it's dense, durable (mohair and nylon? Yes please!), and has gorgeous stitch definition. It's a smidge too itchy for next-to-neck wear, but my feet love it. I can feel the stitches agains the soles of me feet, which I kind of like, but I know some people have delicate flower feet, so do keep that in mind.

And, please, can we all take a moment to bask in that perfect deep aubergine purple? Isn't it everything that a purple should be? Yes. It is. Perfect.
